Our Story
San Flea is a local, family owned business that provides resort quality beach service and other equipment rentals to Cape San Blas, FL and surrounding areas. Our mission is to make sure your time spent at The Cape is stress-free and fun filled.
Here at San Flea Rentals, you’ll always be met with our southern hospitality and motivation to give back to the beach community that supports us. We are owned and operated by a 3 generational trio: grandfather, son, and granddaughter. The eldest, Butch Hobbs, has called Cape San Blas his home since 1980 and grew up in the nearby town Port St. Joe. Here, he raised two sons and in 2018 joined one of them, Chad Hobbs, in his beachside business venture. San Flea Rentals then set sail and has since provided the area with rental equipment and their southern hospitality. Most recently, in 2022, Chad’s eldest daughter Dana Tennyson, initiated the newest addition to our facilities, San Flea Rentals Beach Service.

Beach Concierge
Hello everybody! It’s Dana and I am SO excited to see all of your new and familiar faces at The Cape this season. I handle majority of the operations here at San Flea Beach Service so you’ll be seeing or speaking to me most of the time. I am your personal beach concierge, the phone operator, website builder, marketing analyst and everything in between.
I was born and raised about an hour away from Cape San Blas in Panama City, Florida. In just a few years, I have lived in New York City as well as Orlando and Jacksonville Florida all while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing. After obtaining said degree from University of North Florida, I have since returned to my roots to embark on the journey of introducing beach service to Cape San Blas and surrounding areas. I have an undying passion for fashion as well as the beach! Our beach picnics were fabricated as a way for me to incorporate both of these qualities into my work. I pride myself in having high quality equipment, design, and of course customer service.
Additionally, I hand make an assortment of souvenir items that you can find at our brick and mortar location. All profits from these items go towards the college tuition of our actively enrolled crew members.

Beach Concierge
Hello, it’s Cade!
I am a beach concierge here at San Flea Beach Service. This means I am often responsible for the setup/breakdown of your assisted service rentals. I was born and raised in Panama City, FL which is about an hour away from The Cape. Some may describe me as a recluse, so naturally I much prefer to spend my time in the quaint beachside town that is Cape San Blas. When I’m not setting up/breaking down beach equipment, you can pretty much guarantee that I’ll be playing the newest PC games with my younger brother Bryson. I’m so proud of my sister (Dana T.) for opening our beach service branch and thankful to be apart of it. See you guys at the beach!

Hi, my name is Bryson. I am the son of Chad and Dana hobbs and the grandson of Butch Hobbs. I love coming out to the Cape to play on the tractor while my family works.

Oh.. hey.. sorry I had to bark at lizard real quick. I am a 6 y/o Italian Greyhound named Punk and Dana T. is my mommy. I am in training to be a beach concierge but I like to bark at anything that moves so mom says I’m not allowed at the Tiki Hut. However, if I’m being a good boy she sometimes lets me come work with her.

“San Flea Rentals, Chad Speaking.” I am at the tiki hut 7 days a week renting bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing gear, and just about everything else you can think of to our community and its visitors. This takes up most of my time however, I answer calls and setup equipment for San Flea Beach Service once in a blue moon.

Howdy! My name is Butch Hobbs, the father of Chad and Grandfather to little Dana, Cade, and Bryson. I have lived in the area for almost all my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you’re trying to reach me, just ask the person closest to you! They’re probably a friend of mine and can give me a ring. Otherwise, I am at the tiki hut 7 days a week carrying out duties for San Flea Rentals or chatting with the neighbors. On occasion, you may see me setting up and breaking down your beach service rentals but most of the time it will be one of my grandkids.
